Frequently Asked Clay Questions:

Do you have any studio fees for clay?

No.  Working with clay includes an all-inclusive price.   This includes your return time to paint your item once it has been dried and fired.

How long does it take to fire my items?

Unlike paint-your-own pottery clay needs to dry first.  This can vary from peice to piece, but generally items are dried and fired within 3 weeks.

Do I paint my items the same day they are made?

No.  The clay is still wet and needs to be dried and fired first.  You will be able to return after about 3 weeks to continue to paint your items where it will once again be fired to completion.

I have no artistic skills. Can I still be successful?

Yes!  Clay handbuilding is usually the easiest for beginners but with our professional instructor’s help, everyone can usually create a few projects to choose.

Is my finished piece safe so I can eat or drink with it?

Yes! Just like pottery your handmade item will be food safe.  All of our glazes are also non-toxic, lead-free and food safe.
