In this hands-on pottery workshop, you’ll create your very own hand-built butter dish from scratch! Using soft clay, simple tools, and guided techniques, you’ll design a dish and matching lid that reflect your personal style—rustic, modern, whimsical, or classic.

Participants will be guided step-by-step through:

• Clay preparation & slab building

• Shaping and forming the base of the butter dish

• Creating a fitted lid with or without a handle

• Texturing, stamping, or carving to personalize your piece

• Adding decorative details, such as knob shapes, patterns, or sculpted elements

• Slip & score techniques for secure construction

• Underglazing or adding color (if the session includes it)

• Understanding drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing
